The Elk in the Woods

While following the London canal eastward, we stumbled across this great restaurant called The Elk in the Woods in the Angle section of town. It had a very rustic vibe and served some nice English delicacies - I had the game-meat pie and Jen had the fish pie. James and I delighted in a lunchtime wine prior to the meal.

Fish Pie

Game Pie

Veggie Plate

Hey Tamms! The Elk in the Woods was the name of the restaurant, a cool little spot in Islington: http://www.the-elk-in-the-woods.co.uk/

We had lunch there...I got fish pie (top photo, with mashed potato as the crust, and Hutch got the special that day, game pie).
