I had a roasted lamb dish at this Turkish restaurant - the Grand Bazaar - in the Marylebone district the other night - was quite tasty. It came with this large football-shaped loaf of bread that was all hot air in the middle. The outer skin was very thin. I meant to ask the waiter the name of this type of bread. Anyone ever had it?

...hmmm, a name for something thin-skinned and full of hot air. Oh, the possiblities....
It could go several ways, really
Was it pastry like? Could it be yorkshire pudding or yorkshire puds as they call them?
That's not Yorkshire pudding; those are more like popovers.
Definitely not Yorkshire pudding, which I've had and love, but I can understand where you'd get that from the description. This was squarely in the middle eastern camp.
