Tate Modern

This massive crack in the floor is the latest installation at Tate
Modern. Apparently several people have tripped over it so far. I will
leave you to consider whether this is meaningful art (and whether the
posting of this photo violates its copyright!).

So it's a real crack, not a painting? Seems odd that they would let someone chisel out the floor of the museum...

I can't wait to hear about the lawsuit somebody files for tripping and falling over this. I can see the headlines now, "Art Causes Injury, Lawsuit Ensues!"

Yes it is a real crack that goes all the way across the open lobby. I think they poured an entire layer of concrete to allow for this. They apparently do major stunts like that at TM.

To Marks comment, be interesting if a court would prevent or reduce the damages in such a case based on free speech grounds.

At which point Jessica would become a part of the artwork - fulfilling the artists ultimate vision....

Good to hear from ya kiddo!
