They got some very old rocks over here - and I had to stop dad from
trying to rearrange them.

This blog is used to document and share the adventures of Atlantans in London and vice-versa. We hope this blog highlights the differences and similarities between these two cities, inspires insightful comparisons, and memorializes the fun we've had getting to know both places.

It looks as though the 2 of you are enjoying a good visit. Give our regards to your father. I have no doubt that he would be moving those rocks around, if he had his equipment handy.
Speaking of rocks, we saw some pretty impressive ones on our recent trip out west to Zion, Bryce, Mount Rushmore, and The Badlands. It is amazing what nature can do and, in the case of Mount Rushmore, what humans can do, too. I hope you get out there sometime.
Good to hear that your recording session went well. We look forward to getting a CD when they come out.
I have been enjoying your site and decided that I should leave a comment, rather than just eavesdrop.
ha! blurking Mom, you were blurking.
I'm sure Hutch will be happy to find you here!
:)
To Genesse: There is always something new to learn.
I've never heard of "blurking" is that when you visit a blog but don't comment? If so, I think we have lots of blurking going on. I love comments, but blurking is ok too!
Kathy, we did have a good time over this weekend, and we're going to have lunch today and then he's off to CT.
I'd love to get out to those western sites sometime - maybe on a long road trip...
I live in Georgia, too, but have led a travel-deprived life. I just think having your picture taken at Stonehenge is a whole new level of cool. Looks like you and your dad are having a great trip.
"and oh how they danced, the little children of Stonehenge"
To Hutch: I don't feel so out of touch now knowing that you weren't familiar with the term "blurking" either. Leave to Jennifer to be up on that sort of thing.
Yes, well I have probably wasted way too much time blurking! I guess it takes one to know one. ;)
What a great thing, to see you and your dad after ~20 years!
I'm no blurker.

I thought someone might post clips of Stonhenge from Spinal Tap, but I never guessed it would be my long lost roommate from Choate!
Looking forward to catching up with you in London in a few weeks Patrick!
Speaking of rocking (I know, a pretty lame segue), I just clicked on the link to the Cadillac Jones website and noticed that Crab Daddy has a gig this July. I did not know that the band was still in existence - all the original members?
Yes, Crab Daddy is reuniting at the Earl in Atlanta in late July. All three original members should be there. We have not played together in about 14 years. Last gig was in Athens at the Roadhouse around 1994 or maybe 1995.
Ah, but you are forgetting the first reunion, at Mr. Emerson's wedding!
Oh my gosh, I totally forgot about that! That had to be ten years ago at this point, but not certainly not fifteen
Yeah, you and all your "reunion tours!"
;)
